Jan Taylor

CHAIRPERSON
Jan is the longest serving member of the Foresters Riding Club committee and was very nearly a founder member. With her base at Upshire Hall, Jan has competed at all levels in the past, her best known horse having been the diminutive TB, Odin with whom she was a regular team member and after whom the Cross Country Shield is named. Jan’s dedication to the club is second to none and her friendly demeanour is welcoming to all the members, new and old at the various events.

Norma Hedley
|
LIAISON REPRESENTATIVE
Norma is Yorkshire born and bred and worked with horses from leaving school at 18 and never wanted to do anything else. She is BHSAI qualified, worked with competition horses including international show jumpers (Nick Skelton and junior internationals), affiliated dressage horses and competed county show level hunters, and club dressage to National level. Worked for Rod Stewart for 16 years and now works for Annabel Jenks (Osteopath and Naturopath) as yard manager and competition groom for dressage, show jumping and eventing. Norma is available for clipping, trimming and show preparation (contact by mobile: 07885437175) and any competition or turnout advice and has been a FRC committee member for over 10 years.

Geraldine Emmins

SENIOR TEAMS MANAGER
Geraldine has been on the committee for about 8 years and is team manager for both juniors and seniors. She moved to Cambridgeshire in 1999 but still teaches in Essex so is able to remain involved with the club. She competed to advanced level on Churchill and is now competing her young mare Saluuts Valentine (Silly for short) at prelim and novice level. She also has a shetland stallion called Stallone who rules the roost at home.

Alyson Parker

JUNIOR TEAM MANAGER
Alyson has been involved with horses all her life, is qualified as a BHS Int(T) and specialises in horse trials. She has been a regular member of Foresters teams in all disciplines for many years and enjoys competing in affiliated horse trials. She is a part time medical secretary and freelance instructor and through her son is involved with the local Pony Club.

Gordon Finnan

MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY
Gordon has been riding in and around Epping Forest, and a good many other parts of the world, for over forty years but he says he is now best described, by some at least, as a Happy Hacker. He has joined the Club Committee this year (2007) to look after membership matters and looks forward to being able to help out at many of the club’s events

Janine Navarro

CLINIC MANAGER
Janine came to live in England in the early 1970's from her native Paris. With her famous mounts, "Ginny" and later "Cadey" then more recently "Kitty" Janine has continued to pursue her favourite past-time - cross country riding. Janine is now a bi-lingual PA in a prestigious west end company and joined the Foresters committee in 1999 to organise the club's training clinics.

Kym Ridge

QUADRILLE MANAGER & ROSETTES
Kym has been on the committee since Jan 04 and is The Members Help Organiser and Team Support/Admin. She is also Chef d'equipe and director of enthusiasm for the Quadrille. Kym has her own horse, Fred who is a retired steeplechaser/polo pony. Together they compete at Prelim Level Dressage with the occasional sortie into Novice. Kym and Fred have, in the past jumped clear rounds at 2 foot 6 inches, though are both more comfortable on the flat.

Victoria Hyslop

SHOWING SHOW SECRETARY AND PRESS OFFICER
Victoria is originally from Kent and moved to Essex in November 2005. She is currently competing at Novice and Elementary Level British Dressage, with ex-eventer Finn and is a trainee dressage judge. As a trained Speech and Language Therapist, Victoria now works as a Specialist Product Advisor for a leading producer of Communication Aids
